It's time to sum up
Our project must be completed by April 30, we have already completed most of the planned activities, we only have a few small investments and research work ahead of us. So we could start summarizing.
On February 1-2 in Giżycko, in the atmospheric St. Bruno Hotel, the project closing conference took place. We were honored by the presence of many distinguished people – the authorities of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, representatives of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, local government officials, employees of landscape parks, foresters, NGO activists. Our partners from the rescue services of the Chernivtsi region arrived from Ukraine.
The conference included a chamber part, during which the results of the project were presented, activities financed throughout Poland from the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism were discussed, and the natural values of the Giżycko Forest District were presented.
The part-in-the- field was a presentation of investments carried out in Giżycko as part of improving the attractiveness of waterways around the city and small water retention activities implemented in the City Forest by the Giżycko Forest District.
However, the greatest value of the conference for participants was the opportunity to talk, exchange experiences and make plans for the coming years.
