Lomsdal-Visten: loudly singing with delight (fortunately, allowed)

In the Lomsdal-Visten National Park, making noise is prohibited, but singing – even loudly – fortunately, is allowed. It is also “no” for using old dead and dying trees for a bonfire (they are vital for insects and woodpeckers), for littering, and for camping on private land without the owner’s consent.
What is so striking about this park that spontaneous concerts from emotionally charged tourists don’t surprise anyone?
the location between the fjords in the coastal zone and the mountain ranges in the interior creates a truly romantic landscape. Quiet heather moors, alpine plateaus, and old forests contrast with powerful waterfalls and breathtaking views from the heights of local peaks.
practically no marked tourist trails and the possibility to be alone with nature.
Vistenfjord – perhaps the cleanest fjord in Norway.
Rivers with beautiful waterfalls in a unique natural setting.
boreal tropical forests and karst terrain.
map, compass, and you – the author and first explorer of your own route.
Lomsdal-Visten invites you to fully enjoy such simple (it seems!) things as fresh sea air, rugged coniferous forests, vast untraveled spaces, which inevitably raises the question – does anyone actually live here? Yes, and not for one century: these territories have always been important for reindeer herders.
